Description
Unfortunately for all you Deviants, this comic won't make much sense to you most of the time.
It's based in part around the forums of a site called The Escapist. I'll try to explain things as best I can for those that want to tag along anyway.
Original Premise: The Iron Ninja (that's me) wrote a review about the Game Commander Keen: Goodbye Galaxy, in it he used many a comic to keep the impatient readers around long enough to read the whole thing.
Many forum goers suggested that the Iron Ninja (who apparently is starting to refer to himself in the third person) should start a comic series.
The writing will be sub par, the drawing is predominantly done in paint and I don't really have any clue as to where I'm going with it in the long run.
This particular strip is fairly specific to the escapist, it's poking fun at the short period in which the forums utilised google ads, which I have likened to some creepy guy butting in on your conversations.
Characters present in this strip:
-Mr Swanson: Based on a certain poster on the escapist named Necroswanson, who has a similarly named accound here on DA. He has snazzy shoes.
-Fish Food Carl: Also an Escapist poster, logic dictated that he sells fish, he likes snazzy shoes too I guess.
-The Iron Ninja: Thinks of himself as a highly esteemed Ninja Chef, as such he has a chef hat, also (though it is not present in this one) has a spatula that he uses as a weapon (It's not particulary funny, but If I'm persistent enough about it people will stop complaining)
-Gerald: The Iron Ninja's pet crab, though he takes more of a sidekick or best friend sort of role. You may notice that he has the unexplained ability to talk. I'm not entirely sure how this is possible. His position is generally atop the Iron Ninja's shoulder.
-Larry: Little (as at this point I haven't put much thought towards it) is known about him, but he has an awesome beard/moustache combo, plus he has the important task of being the only character with a proper weapon.
-Jim Lad: Added so I can use him later as a useful plot device whenever something is in dire need of explaining.
Also he's adorable.
-Fred: Steers the cart, is old, somehow has lost an eye. Likes the word "yarn."
-Josephene: Um... It's a cow or an ox, one of the two. It pulls the Wagon.
